Canon EF-S lens
The Canon EF-S, 18-55mm lens is not one of the great pieces of optics ever produced, but it's a good lens for the price. In comparison to other lenses, by Canon and others, the results seem sharper with more contrast. I look at it as a general purpose lens, suitable for most applications. It's a compromise, of course, but it's easy to work with and won't let you down.
