Military, police and Hawaii celebrated, inspirational, beautifully filmed, wonderful cast with much action, humour and friendship, a magic formula!!
The cinematography brings joy to the heart of anyone who loves O'ahu, which becomes a character in the show in its own right. The stories are compelling with protagonists whom you care about due to their devotion to duty, humanity, and sense of humour. There is inspiring loyalty and teamwork, and also a real emphasis on the true talent and valour of the military and the police who are in modern times often undersung heroes providing that thin blue / green line. This is refreshing and wonderful to see portrayed! And...the sheer entertainment value is immense of watching Steve and his Navy Seal buddies perform miracles at a level of athleticism and training that is the stuff of action writing and yet...awesome in the true sense of the word to know that this is happening in real life, men and women this devoted, trained and dedicated....and we are all so glad that they are on our side! Lastly but not least, there is the nostalgia element of keeping the theme tune the same and some of the character references. All in all, it's a magic and inspiring formula. Well done CBS!!
