Danzig 6:66 Satans Child
Glenn Danzig's Satan's Child the 6th release of a seven album series is the fine serving of Dark Metal one expects when buying a Danzig LP. Songs like Five Finger Crawl, Belly Of The Beast, Unspeakable and the title track show Danzig in fine form. One to always experiment Danzigs Satans Child has no elements of Black Acid Devil. Satans Child is Glenn Danzig's second LP he produced without Rick Rubin, Glenn also played some Guitar on the album.

Black Rose - Very good A must for Mercyful Fate/KD fans
King Diamond was still developing his vocal style, so it's interesting to hear the difference 2 years makes! These recordings were from the 30th of September 1980 & Mercyful Fates 1st LP was released in 1982, the guy worked very hard in those 2 years. The songs are originals and pretty strong, the band does "Radar Love" the only Cover. The Hammond Organ & Fender Guitar are very prominent and sound together. You can hear the band was influenced by Deep Purple. This was a rehearsal so there are false starts & conversations in Danish that give the Cd a very relaxed but rockin' feel. top Shelf liner notes by King Diamond & some photos of the band are a added plus. The band split up after Diamond left the band to sing for Brats where he met Hank Sherman and the rest is history!

Mercyful Fates comeback: In The Shadows
In The Shadows is a very solid "comeback" release for Mercyful Fate, 10 years earlier "Don't Break the Oath" was released with a Top Shelf World Tour following that annihilated all Bands in their path. Then the unthinkable, the Band broke up instead of changing the musical direction which started a whole new Genre. In The Shadows was produced by King Diamond, Hank Sherman & Tim Kinsey with awesome results. With the original MF line up minus Drummer Kim Russ the band sounds fresh, dark songs and great riffs with Diamonds Vocal command still in full force. I personally think all the songs kick a*@, some of my favorites are: The Bell Witch, The Old Oak, 13 Invatations, Room Of Golden Air & Is That You, Melissa.
