Better than disc brakes
Forget disc brakes. These TRP mini v's are amazing. Super modulation and all the power you need and easy to set up.

All new brake line for under $100
A brake line started leaking on my 2004 gmc 2500hd. All new lines hopefully they last another 15yrs.

Way better than the canti brakes that came on it
I bought an older specialized tricross as my commuter and general purpose bike for rougher roads and the stock canti brakes were awful. Front fork shudder, squeal, and weak braking performance especially when hurtling down hills with my 200 lbs.
These brakes are so much better, probably stops in half the distance, no squeal, no front fork shudder.
Only took about an hour to mount and adjust. Can't believe I struggled with those awful old brakes for 3,000 miles of riding before I switched to these
