PIT STOP / "THE WINNER"
Title at beginning of movie reads: "THE WINNER". Old Black and White 1967 film made by Jack Hill. Crude story of 1960s Figure-8 stock car racing. Story line and character's equivilent of the crudest of "B" movies at best. However full of great footage of vintage figure-8 stock car racing in the '50s and '60s!! (What I wouldn't give to have some of those cars today!!) The car buff will LOVE The Plethera of 1950's cars shown; and sadly realize how many of these cars are seen getting destroyed in these old clips. RECOMENDATION: Skip over the crappy storyline and just Revell in the vintage Racing Clips!! NOTE: Thank goodness this is an old film, I would have simply cried if they had destroyed that many vintage machines in recent times, they are simply way too scarce today!! After the original film is a recent interview with the equally if not even cruder filmmakers, who openly admit to making "porn star" films. GREAT Vintage Racing Film Clips!! The Storyline and Post-Movie Interview are best left on the cutting room floor!!!
