Baron Muenchhausen (DVD, 2004)

An enjoyable evening
I really enjoyed the Kino Video release of MUNCHHAUSEN. Wonderful costumes and settings. Color is first rate, too. Story line, although quite coherent, seemed to wander and meander a bit but no serious complaints about that. The movie had a nostalgic and wistful side to it also. All in all, it held together nicely and thankfully it was free of Nazi propaganda. Highly recommended.

A "popcorn" movie for everyone
This is pretty routine material but still enjoyable; a typical movie of the 1940s. Good family fun but don't expect a five star film.

Keep those movie cameras rolling!
I enjoyed all 25 of the short films offered on this two disc set from Kino; some, of course, more than others. All were interesting and many were really outstanding. It illustrates what one can accomplish with just a few people, some props and a great imagination. I think I'm going to get out my Super 8 camera, buy some new batteries and few rolls of film (probably black and white) and see what I can do!
