Courage, Hope and Love fest
Loved this movie! A movie about Sudanese refugees played by Sudanese! It certainly lends authenticity to portrayal. A lovely story with hope, loyalty, sacrifice, love and commitment- we could all learn much from them! Engaging with a story heart- engaging without gross sentimentality. Enjoyed much!!

subtle, witty and still excellently entertaining
The criterion version has excellent sound and restored picture quality. Better than ever on blu-ray.
Excellent thriller. Put in perspective of go-all-the-way Brit determination of era (Historically I mean, civilians had bombs in their living rooms, and took it upon themselves to take their personal boats and go forth to engage the enemy, uncertain if they would return to their villages) as well as isolated areas where people were accustomed to walking as a way of life.....One needs to understand history to understand that this story is not so far fetched as some would say.
For a mature, cultured film lover perhaps, but remains always an excellent, not canned, foray into film and why Hitchcock films endure. I LOVE this film.
