An interesting perspective....
Isoroku focus' on Admiral Yamamoto's life principally during WWII. The CGI is very good and rarely does it look like models in lieu of actual ships and planes. It does provide a different perspective of the war in the Pacific but it doesn't attempt to spin the west as villains. Most of the events are presented as a matter of fact rather than a political narrative. It would be nice to have a little more depth to the major events such as Pearl Harbor or Midway but it must be remembered that this is a biography. In the end you're presented with a man doing his duty rather than an ideologue. It should be noted that this was filmed completely in Japan and only has English sub-titles. I prefer movies where people speak in their native tongue but your mileage may vary.
