816 Trading is a tribute my Dad, he is a collector in his own way. He grew up in poverty, rarely owning a toy. He worked hard to become a Master Plumber and a night teacher at the plumbers training center. He retired in his late 60's, and thanks to decades of hard work he is blessed with the means to indulge his inner-child. He doesn’t buy objects for their value, he acquires objects that brings him joy. When he finds a special object he shares it with his family and tells a story about childhood. Telling the story creates a new happy memory for him and for us. One object at a time, the sad memories of his childhood fade away. After he's told the story, he is ready to pass the item along to someone else to enjoy. Many of the items in our store have passed through Russ's collection.
