    The upside is that the valve works after adding a street L to the engine's head. The downside is that the new valve outlet is at 90 degrees, instead of the original 45 degrees which doesn't leave room to thread the valve directly into the head. It required a trip to find a brass street L in order to turn the new valve to the required position.
