Because the new ones look like the same bottle but the reformulated perfume inside bears no resemblance to the original. Unwrapping the vintage box was a bit like opening up a tomb. But the bottle inside was in pristine condition and the opulent scent is exactly as I remember it! (A patch test is recommended before using a vintage perfume. This wears comfortably and beautifully.)
