    This bear’s 1st quality is questionable. l question it even being authentic … the brass ear button was NOT STAMPED “Steiff”. Germans are precise about details! Also, l almost sliced into fake bear for it was unwrapped, unprotected and placed in a tight fitting box. Opening a box with a sharp box cutter, and one discovering a questionable Steiff bear at very top un wrapped and protected was wrong and asking for trouble…Sorry seller, but l would be unable to support your business in the future.

    Cathy allow me to educate you about Steiffs.The later plushes from the 80’s and on have blank button tags when they were overproduced. This is a newer bear. I know you were shocked at the wonderful condition the bear was in with all tags since it came from an avid collector but it like the hundreds of other Steiffs I have sold is authentic. My positive feedback from 1,500+ customers speaks for itself. Buyers feedback like this usually speaks for itself and should be taken with a grain of salt.
