About us
Mi Gente Customs was founded in Colorado Springs, CO. nestled near Pikes Peak. Right next to the beautiful Rocky Mountains... This business was established in 1995. We have been a landmark in the Springs for the last 25 years. Owner John Montano started off with sunglasses & a box of T-shirts in 1995 the location was a 1300 square foot space, but people flocked to the small Mi Gente shop & we remember a line all the way through the shop & buying products by the bag full..Mi Gente quickly outgrew this location which was on E. Arvada south of downtown Colorado Springs, CO. & moved to bigger location in 1997. a 5000 square foot building just a couple blocks away from the first location, on Las Vegas St. Mi Gente again quickly grew out of their second location & had to move to a building shopping center on Circle Dr. near Cub Foods grocery store in 2000. Owner John Montano desired to have his own Land & building, so in 2002 final move & built a 12000 sq ft. building.
