Fan comes on briefly to test at switch-on and sounds quiet but powerful. Trouble is that this is sold as a 30A PSU (32A surge), but the manual says not to exceed 80% of this capacity continuously, so it's only a 24A PSU really!!! I haven't noticed any interference to HF or VHF/UHF radios despite being swith-mode. I've not tested under heavy load yet though.
