All of our items are 100% genuine stained glass. Every now and again someone subjects the lampshades to the dreaded fingernail test and flicks the glass shade. The sound is dull because the safe lead solder is soaking up the shock and making the dull sound which may sound like plastic. I can assure you all of our products are 100% Genuine stained glass wrapped in copper foil and soldered together by skilled artisan. The only way to make Tiffany style lampshades. This feedback is malicious!
