    Keypad was already loaded with batteries that unfortunately had corroded. But the item was truly new so the seller would not have known. I was able to clean out the item and it worked perfectly and looks great. Still a great value with fast shipping.

    Thanks for the honest review. Yes, this particular item was received in a factory-sealed package, so we decided to leave it sealed, as most buyers would prefer. I'm surprised to hear that Level is loading live batteries directly into their products and shipping them out this way! Most manufacturers seal any included batteries in a separate wrapper for this exact reason. Anyway, thanks for the heads up. We'll be sure to inspect any Level products before shipping (even if sealed) in the future!
