About us

Wuxtry Records is the oldest operating record store in Georgia. It has been locally owned and operated since 1976. It is where members of the band R.E.M. met. Bizarro-Wuxtry is a comic shop owned by the same owner. It has been open in Athens, GA for over 30 years and is the former employer of Pete Buck of R.E.M. fame.
