Product Information
Inventor of the world's only time machine, Dr. Linus Fracas is a brilliant scientist with a fetish for hand-to-hand combat. He's not a fighter himself; he just enjoys watching. He's obsessed with a single question: "Who is the greatest fighter of all time?"

Combining this burning question with his ingenious invention, Dr. Fracas uses his time machine to transport the greatest warriors of the past for a battle set in the here and now. There are nine fighters in all: Hanzou and Fuuma from Japan, Rasputin from Russia, Brocken from Germany, Janne from France, Dragon from China, Muscle Power from the U.S., J. Carn from Mongolia and an unknown being from outer space.

Each of the fighters in this game can jump, crouch, punch, kick, throw and perform somersaults. Some carry weapons (such as stars and swords) and some don't. In addition to the standard moves, each contestant is equipped with his or her own special moves such as Fire Dragon (an aerial kick), Shoulder Ram (attack that hits like an avalanche), Flash Sword (lashes out with sword in a slicing arc) and Fire Ball (fire leaps from a crystal ball for a searing attack).

Also, each character has a unique fighting style. For example, Fuuma is a ninja and Rasputin is a dancing madman magician. Battles are fought in one-on-one, best two out of three formats, and fights last 99 seconds or until one contestant is defeated. Meters at the top of the screen monitor each fighter's energy. If you defeat all seven opponents, you get to go up against the mysterious warrior from outer space.

You can play World Heroes by yourself or with a friend in Normal or Championship Match mode. In Championship Match play, the combat ring becomes an integral part of the action as blazing infernos, spiked walls, and electric ropes can afflict damage on the fighters.Product Identifiers
