Product Information
Billed as a cross between ABC's Who Wants to Be a Millionaire and CBS' Survivor, BBC One's successful show The Weakest Link became NBC's entry in cutthroat reality gaming. As in the TV show, the game version has contestants working together to earn prize money and ruthlessly voting to eliminate one another from competition. Anne Robinson, the acerbic host, makes the transition from TV to game show with her sarcastic, terse wit and biting remarks.

Questions are general knowledge, with various categories of trivia. Gameplay rotates through the players and each correct answer doubles the prize money until a player "banks" the current cash amount prior to getting a question, which saves the money for the eventual winner. After banking, the level of cash resets to the lowest possible amount and can only be built up again by a series of correct answers. Incorrect responses, or a pass by a contestant during a round, zeroes the amount in the pot.

Single-player games include six opponents from a pool of twenty-four, each with distinct insults and comments, and stereotypical personalities (e.g., jock, airhead, computer nerd). Players can compete in one game, or enter Championship mode and go for four wins in a row to earn a cool 50-million. Other options include adjusting Robinson's tart and abusive insults, establishing complete control of the banking process, or playing multiplayer in hot-seat mode.Product Identifiers
