About this product

Product Information

You can help Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, and the other Autobots beat Megatron and his Decepticons, and stop them from unleashing chaos on Earth. Transformers: Autobots for Nintendo DS is one part of a two game series that takes its cues from the popular 2007 movie version that brought the Transformers toys franchise to life. In this exciting video game, you must win the battle against Megatron and the Decepticons so that the Autobots can use the AllSpark to rebuild Cybertron and restore peace to the Cybertronians. Transformers Autobots is based on Transformers: The Game and features the perspective of the Autobots. Transformers Decepticons features the second part of this game from the perspective of the Decepticons. The original Transformers game is available for PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, PSP, Windows computers, and Wii game systems. Because Nintendo DS game consoles feature different control styles based on buttons and touch screens, Vicarious Visions released a version of the game specifically for DS consoles. This product is the Autobots installment of the Nintendo DS version. It is not compatible with other game consoles such as Wii, Wii U, Xbox One, Xbox 360, NES, or Nintendo 3DS. It features a rating of T for Teen due to violence. Transformers Autobots for Nintendo DS features the same basic storyline as the first installment in the live action movie series. Thousands of years before the story starts, a civil war tore the planet of Cybertron apart, and the Cybertronians, a race of sentient robots, were left in chaos. After the evil Decepticon robot, Megatron, crashed into Earth, the War for Cybertron continued on Earth. Scorponok, Frenzy, Starscream, Barricade, and other Decepticons live on Earth as robots in disguise, and the Autobot characters, Optimus Prime, Ratchet, Ironhide, and Bumblebee, arrive on Earth from Cybertron to prevent the Decepticons from taking control of the AllSpark and using it to bring the machines of Earth to life. You control an Autobot to help Sam, Optimus Prime, and the Autobots protect the AllSpark and defeat Megatron and the Decepticons before it is too late to save Earth and restore Cybertron. Cybertronian characters appear similar to their movie versions. Optimus Prime transforms into a Peterbilt 379 truck, Megatron is a Cybertronian jet, and Bumblebee is a yellow Camero. Transformers Autobots for Nintendo DS offers an excellent choice of playable Autobot characters, including Bumblebee, Optimus Prime, Ironhide, Jazz, and Ratchet. However, your main character for the game is a customizable Transformer Autobot robot that you create yourself in the “Create-A-Bot” feature. This feature lets you choose a vehicle and robot design for your Autobot. The game also features a variety of non-playable characters from the movie. Decepticon bots such as Starscream and Megatron appear as enemies, which you must defeat throughout each level. You gain experience points when you beat Decepticon enemies in battle and finish missions, which let you gain new skills. Most of the missions take place in the Arctic, and the ultimate goal of the game is to beat Megatron and the other Decepticon robots. You do not need any accessories to enjoy Transformers Autobots for Nintendo DS. The controls are built into the handheld console and can be easy to learn.
