Set in a small Californian town just after the vicious killing of several innocent people, this psychological thriller begins with the arrival of FBI agent Cheryl Hammer (Cheryl Pollack). Pegging these crimes on a mysterious serial killer, Cheryl needs help to get on the criminal mastermind's track. When the police prove to be little assistance, Cheryl looks to Jack, the father of a girl who was murdered by similar means some 10 years before. With Jack on her side, Cheryl then seeks out a priest who may be able to shed some light on the connection between the killer's motives and the Biblical concept of being punished for one's sins. When one more girl turns up missing, it becomes a race against time to stop the killer before another death occurs.
