The game, which plays like a traditional shooter in the style of Ikaruga, enables gamers to control flying humans instead of ships. Featuring advanced particle systems, large-scale bosses, and tons of action on screen, the game marries the traditional 2D gameplay of classic shooters like R-Type with turning and twisting 3D polygonal backgrounds found in more modern shooter offerings. Part I was released in the west under the title Mobile Light Force.
