Steins;Gate is a visual novel in which a group of friends must deal with the consequences of accidentally inventing a form of time travel. The game takes place in Akihabara, Tokyo's epicenter of animé, gaming, and electronic culture, and stars a conspiracy theorist college student named Rintaro Okabe who discovered a way to send email messages into the past.
