Product Information
Inspired by Return of the Jedi, Star Wars: Death Star Battle has players racing to prevent the Empire from completing the second Death Star in orbit of the third moon of Endor, and the Rebel Alliance needs a few good pilots. Players man the Millennium Falcon on its daring raid to find a weak spot in the Death Star's shields, slip through, and then attack the space station itself -- all while being pursued by Imperial TIE Fighters. In the first screen, the Death Star looms in the distance, separated from the Falcon by its shield grid (which is deadly to touch). As TIE Fighters try to draw a bead on the Falcon, players must engage in some serious evasive maneuvers and take the enemy fighters out first. After a certain number of them have been eliminated, gaps appear in the shield, giving players a chance to slip the Falcon through the Death Star's defenses and take potshots at the gigantic station itself until a shot can be taken at the glowing core -- but watch out for the Death Star's roving death ray, which will home in on the Falcon. When the core is blasted, the Death Star explodes, and players must then avoid the debris. Then the game restarts, only a little harder -- hey, if anyone's going to have an unlimited military budget for this sort of thing, it's got to be Darth Vader. <!--Book-->Product Identifiers
