Released following the MMORPG's major overhaul in the fall of 2005, this bundle provides players with updated retail versions of the main game, Star Wars Galaxies: An Empire Divided, and its first expansion pack, Jump to Lightspeed. Changes to the game were designed to make play more accessible for all sorts of online gamers, and this package is designed to make it easy for newcomers to jump straight into their Star Wars roles.<br><br>As in other online RPGs, Galaxies players begin by creating an online personality, choosing the character's race, appearance, and profession. The "massively multiplayer" game world is designed to allow players to follow in the footsteps of their favorite characters from the Star Wars films or discover all new possibilities playing as lesser-known races and classes.<br><br>With the Jump to Lightspeed expansion, players can pilot personal, interstellar spacecraft that allow them access to new species, new worlds, and new challenges in the far, far away galaxy. Deep-space dog-fighting -- a staple of the beloved film series -- also becomes available with the Jump to Lightspeed.
