Product Information
Snap! Elk Hunter (previously released as Browning Elk Hunter puts you in the wilds of North America in search of bulls and cows (male and female elk respectively). The game offers four unique settings using actual photography of elk hunting regions in fall and winter seasons. You can bag two-point, three-point, four-point, and even five-point and six-point bulls, but only the trophy bulls will pull in the big money that allows you access to the more expensive locales and better equipment.

The four regions in the game and the cost to hunt in each are Maple Mountain (free), Quakie Slope ($10), Bottom Bend ($20), and Mountain High ($50). Payoffs for bagging elk get larger as you progress up the prime real estate ladder. There are three weapons in the game: the Browning Afterburner Bow, the Browning A-Bolt II .300 Win. Mag., and the Hawken Muzzleloader .54 Cal rifle.

Hunting equipment consists of binoculars, arrows, cartridges, elk scent, a scope, a bugle, and a hunting license. A matrix showing the type of weapon across the top and the type of elk down the left side shows the pay outs for each animal. For example, shooting a three-point bull with the rifle earns you $2. If you shoot the same animal with a muzzleloader you'll get $3 and with the bow, $5. Top prize is for a six-point bull brought down with the bow, for which you'll nab $50.

All the prize money goes to buying equipment and paying your fees into the higher priced regions. The interface is mainly point-and-click with keyboard shortcuts supported. Do you have the patience to wait for the big one -- the six point trophy bull? If you do, you'll be able to mount it on the trophy wall at the Lodge. Good hunting!Product Identifiers
