Rebellion's futuristic tactical shooter returns with updated graphics, controls, and difficulty settings in Rogue Trooper: Redux. Based on the sci-fi comic strip from Gerry Finley-Day and Dave Gibbons, the action lets gamers control the titular Rogue, a genetically engineered super soldier with blue skin and the sentient biochips of fallen soldiers in his helmet, pack, and rifle. Players guide Rogue through post-apocalyptic Nu-Earth environments, using a mix of stealth, cover, and direct assaults in a 13-mission campaign to get revenge on the superiors who betrayed him.<br><br>Gamers can use a variety of weapons as they shoot their way through enemy Nort soldiers and vehicles, and Rogue's three biochips offer enhancements. The rifle Gunnar can help improve accuracy during firefights, while the helmet Helm can distract enemies, and the backpack Bagman can upgrade weapons. Multiplayer fans can join up to three friends in a co-op story that precedes the main campaign, take on waves of enemies in the Stronghold mode, or fight toward a safe zone in Progressive mode.
