The Opteka camera lens for Canon also incorporates high-index and low-dispersion optical glass to provide superior image sharpness and accurate color rendition. In addition, the wide-angle converter lens features SureGrip composite material around the barrel, which gives the user a non-slip grip that is soft enough to be comfortable during operation. While reflections often cause ghosting, especially if a lens is not coated, this Opteka .45x uses digital multi-coating to eliminate such problem and therefore enhance image quality. For even greater versatility, the wide-angle converter lens is actually two lenses in one. The photographer can remove the outer Opteka camera lens for Canon and use the inner portion as a macro lens for extreme close-up shots. The Opteka .45x also includes an adapter to fit right over the camera's existing lens system.
