Based on the Advanced Dungeons & Dragons 3rd Edition rules, Neverwinter Nights is a 3D role-playing game designed with online, multiplayer play in mind. The game features a three-quarter overhead perspective and utilizes the BioWare Omen 3D game engine (originally developed for MDK 2). Players can assume the role of any of the standard AD&D character classes and also have the option of playing as a Dungeon Master. Neverwinter Nights can be played alone in single-player mode, or up to 64 players can participate online in a multiplayer scenario.<br><br>As Dungeon Master, players can create and populate entire modular worlds and stories for others to adventure in. They can alter the plot, possess and run characters, and manage combat from behind the scenes, all in real-time. The DM can relinquish control of specific NPCs for other players or friends to run, including dialogue. User DMs have access to all the same editing tools and tile sets that BioWare designers use to build scenarios. Neverwinter Nights also contains a full featured built-in single-player scenario.<br><br>In addition to all the features and materials in the regular release, the Neverwinter Nights Collector's Edition comes with a book featuring artwork from the game, the game's official soundtrack on CD, a Sword Coast map mousepad, a Collector's Edition DVD case, a 34 by 22-inch poster of Lady Aribeth, and a long-sleeve Neverwinter Nights t-shirt.Product Identifiers
