About this product

Product Information

This book is an account of my family's experiences living in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, during Desert Shield/Storm (later kwn as the First Gulf War) in 1990-1991. My husband was an Infantry officer with the U.S. Army and I was a teacher at an Arabic Women's Language School. Our children attended the International School. It was a year of challenges and amazing opportunities. It was the year of my war, the one I lived through.

Author BiographyI write under the penname Kathleen Cochran. As a novelist, poet, and former newspaper reporter and editor, I write from my experiences traveling the world and raising a family as a soldier's better half. I've called Germany and Saudi Arabia home and traveled to five continents. My lastest work is MY WAR - now available as an E-book on Amazon or in paperback at Create Space. It is a non-fiction account of living in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia during Desert Shield/Desert Storm 1990-91. An excerpt is posted on HubPages.com. TAKE THIS MAN, and A Working Title Memory, plus a collection of poetry, These Lines, are available at amazon.com. Excerpts are also on HubPages.com. TAKE THIS MAN and Collected Works is now in the Henry Grady College of Journalism Reading Room along with the works of other GEORGIA graduates.
