Monaco Grand Prix for the Nintendo 64 is a racing simulation that takes place on the Grand Prix circuit. Developed by Ubisoft, you compete with Indy style sports cars that can travel at speeds exceeding 200 mph. In this cartridge, you can race in many authentic tracks from all around the world, 16 in total. They range from far away Brazil or Australia, to more standard tracks in Canada and Great Britain. You can race in a standard exhibition race that lets you test your racing skills or you can go head to head against a friend to crown your own champion. If you don't have a friend to play with, then go through the complex season mode where you must compete against a field of 22 racers, in all the tracks and in each race you will have to qualify and place well if you wish to proceed. Before each race, tires, suspension, frame and brakes can all be tinkered with to ensure your car is in perfect racing shape. You will have to race hard and fast, but also smart and savvy. The racers are aggressive and they know the courses and will not give you any leeway. Also, you must beware of torrential rain storms that will make your tires like ice skates, when this happens you must pit and change to rain tires. All the physics on the cars are exact as well so bumps and slams will effect your cars performance and even cause damage which can end your race in a hurry. The cartridge also supports the N64 Controller Pak for saving game data, but vital statistics can be saved immediately in the built in EEPROM. Rumble Pak support will also step up the jolt in your racing experience. Now start blazing up the tracks!
