In Mission Cobra for the NES, you control a fast and powerful Cobra helicopter equipped with single-fire weaponry. As you fly through this vertically scrolling shooter, blasting choppers, sonic jets, flying saucers, and other enemies out of the sky, you can earn power-ups which that give your helicopter double, triple, four-way, or triple angled firing power. If you are hit by enemy fire or by an enemy vessel, you lose a fairly large chunk of energy. You also lose energy, albeit at a slower rate, just by flying. To replenish your energy levels, you can pick up energy cells, energy reservoirs, energy shields, and weapon power-ups.<br><br>At the end of each level, you must face a mothership boss, such as a Chopper Carrier, an Eagle Destroyer, or a Double-Winged Fighter. The game is over when your run out of energy. If you need help defeating the enemies, or you just want some company, you can select the two-player simultaneous mode which lets a friend join you in combat.Product Identifiers
