The Marantz AV7701 Pre-Amp Processor Amplifier is a terrific connectivity solution for your home theater system. Seven HDMI inputs allow for multiple connections like Blu-ray players, media players, and set-top boxes. The AV7701 features Apple AirPlay, which lets you stream iTunes music from a Mac or PC, as well as directly from an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch. Its streaming functions allow you to listen to portable devices via Bluetooth, with the optional RX101 Bluetooth adapter. When connected to a home network, you can enjoy thousands of Internet radio stations via Pandora and SiriusXM, as well as Spotify. The AV7701 has a panel USB port that allows for direct connection to portable devices. Two sets of main audio outputs come with the amplifier. These including 7.2 channel unbalanced RCA jacks and 7.2 channel balanced XLR outputs. This preamp also has a phono socket, which allows you to connect a turntable. Other connectivity options include seven HDMI inputs, along with three outputs, all compatible with 3D and 4K content. Two of the HDMI outputs let you play your movies and television on two separate HDTVs, while the third output lets family in another room watch a second program from another source. The output jacks are gold plated and the AV7701 features the Marantz chassis design with an aluminum front panel. Both main outputs feature the functionality of the Audio Return Channel. There are also multiple analog video inputs, including composite and component video for hooking up legacy standard-definition and high-definition sources as well as 7.1 channel docks. The AV7701 features the up-to-date video processing technologies, and includes the ability to up convert HD and SD content to 4K high-resolution video (3840x2160). You can control the device using the newly designed Marantz Remote App., while HDMI signals give pristine picture quality. The Marantz AV7701 processor features the latest digital decoders, including Dolby TrueHD and Dolby Pro Logic IIx and DTS-HD Master Audio. There’s also an option to configure the system to deliver additional front height or front width channels to expand the front soundstage (for example a bi-amp mode for the front main (L/R) speaker). It also features Marantz HDAM discrete pre-amplifier modules. Another brilliant feature is the automatic acoustic correction system (Audyssey Dynamic EQ) that analyzes sound output all of the speakers place in the room (microphone included). This generates precision digital filters that provide optimum acoustic quality with any combination of speaker sizes and types. The Audyssey Dynamic EQ function delivers full range audio, regardless of the volume control setting, and works with the Marantz M-DAX audio processing, which re-processes compressed audio sources to deliver the full, dynamic range of the music. The Marantz AV7701 processor and speaker is a wonderful enhancement to a home theater. It brings with it functions like Audyssey, for seamless crisp audio, along with numerous docks and decoders. You will also get the ability to have two HDTVs, in two different rooms, working simultaneously, as well as streaming AirPlay from portable devices in Hi-Fi, when using the Marantz AV7701.
