On the mound, gamers employ a "Release Point Pitching" system designed to be intuitive, but difficult to master. Hits are fielded by moving players to a marker where the ball will land. MLB is designed such that these defensive challenges are made easier or more difficult according to the relevant real-life skills of the MLB player involved.
