Product Information
Sega's follow-up to 18-Wheeler: American Pro Trucker features more hauling action as players guide one of five rigs on a trek from Illinois to California. Each 18-wheeler is rated from one to four in three areas: speed, torque, and weight. Three of the trucks are driven by the colorful personalities from the original, including Texas Hawk, Moonlight, and Wild Rose. As in its predecessor, the object is to deliver cargo from point A to point B within the time allotted. The biggest obstacle comes in the form of the Tornado Corporation, a freight company who wants nothing more than to have a monopoly.

Unlike 18-Wheeler, rivals in this game will attempt to ram the players off the road, so players must be prepared to reciprocate the gesture. In addition to slamming into the Tornado Corporation's black rigs, players will need to periodically respond to fellow truckers on the CB radio. Answering their calls in a timely manner will increase the likelihood of them following players for a short time, minimizing the wind resistance and providing a temporary boost of speed. A limited number of nitro boosts can also be used to surge ahead of the competition, and additional boosts can be earned by successfully attaching a load to the trailer before embarking on a route.Product Identifiers
