Product Information
You begin on a rectangular board with 96 tiles and a pouch of differently-colored stones, each marked with one of several symbols. A stone is placed at each corner of the board, and a pair in a diagonal in the center. The object of the game is to place your remaining stones, one at a time, on the board. Each stone can only be placed on a tile adjacent to another stone and must match that stone's color or symbol. A stone can be placed next to two, three or even four stones, but must match all adjacent stones by color or symbol. That's the basic premise of Ishido: The Way of Stones.

You can choose to play a solitaire game, a cooperative game, a challenge game against the CPU or another player, or in a tournament. You score by placing tiles so that they match up with already placed tiles, and score progressively more for bigger matches. Tiles placed in the four edge lanes do not score. In the ancient scoring method, you have to get a four-way match to score. Stones come in six different colors and six different symbols, and if you don't like the default stones, you can choose from two alternate sets. You can also enable the oracle feature, which will give you tidbits of wisdom throughout the game.Product Identifiers
