If you don't kw where you are going, any way will get you there. If we lead a life without purpose and without direction, then it doesn't matter which way we travel. A Man of faith journey with a purpose, he walks uprightly in his journey before God and man; squaring his action by his virtue, and upon the level of time to discover his purpose with an end in view. The path we take as Christians is most often the path that the rest of the world takes. We have chosen to take a path which is less traveled, in the words of the poet, Robert Frost, But our path will be one of joy and one of accomplishment if we use the moral compass of our christian faith to guide our way. And in the end, that will make all the difference. Take for example as a passenger in a car, you might feel flickers of appreciation for the landscape racing past, and you might have a rough idea of the direction you are heading. But then again, you might doze off. You might play games or anwer your email with iphone. Whether or t you're paying attention, you assume you'll wind up at your destination. And physically, at least, that's probably true. If you are behind the wheel, the journey is ather experience altogether. You read signs more closely, and you study the map to compare different routes. You can circle back to a historic building or a decide to ditch the interstate for scenic county road. You ask more questions, and you engage more in your surroundings. You are forced to think about where you are, where you're going, why you're making the journey, and the best way to get there. Life is a journey, asking questions that will determine who we are and what we think about life's most significant issues. For example, what is human excellence? What is friendship? love? courage? How do we learn? What constitutes the just state? We're so specialized today that we don't see the whole picture, kwledge is kwing the facts. Wisdom is kwing the facts and how they all interrelate. Despite everything else, we should enjoy the good humor God has provided us. Let us use the gift of Humor in a good way. A little encouragement can spark a great accomplishment. Let us enjoy it without exploiting our right to enjoy. And let us thank God for this wonderful thing called humor.
