Frog Bog players take the role of a frog competing with another frog to see who can catch the most bugs. You control one frog while the computer or a friend controls the other. Each frog begins on its own giant lily pad while flies and other bugs flit and flutter overhead. Time your jumps to leap to the opposing lily pad while lashing out your tongue to eat a bug. If you miss a lily pad, you will splash in the pond and be forced to wait a couple of seconds while the frog swims back to a pad.<br><br>You only need to get a bug in front of you and let your tongue do the rest. There are four different types of bugs, each with a different flight pattern. Point values of each bug are based on how hard they are to catch. You can play the game using a computer-controlled, fixed arc or you can manually control the arc of your jumps to grab the difficult to catch bugs. You can also control the tongue-lashings yourself or let the computer do it for you.<br><br>Frog Bog can be played through a complete day or just at night. At night, the bugs become lightning bugs and can only be located when they blink. You never "croak" in this game, but time does run out. Each game, day or night, lasts just three minutes.
