Product Information
Players are first on the scene in Emergency Room: Real Life Rescues, a paramedic adventure and medical simulation for Nintendo DS. Treatments are performed using the stylus and touch screen. The control mechanics are similar to those of other medical games, such as Trauma Center or Lifesigns: Surgical Unit. Players select the required tools and equipment, such as bandages or forceps, and then apply these to the point of injury, as displayed on screen. As the game begins, players take the role of a rookie paramedic, assigned to ride with an experienced veteran. Early missions lead players through the a number of more common emergency situations, giving them experience with a variety of medical rescue and first aid techniques. Later in the game, players can make their own calls, assessing and treating injuries on the scene without the immediate direction of their in-game mentor. Real Life Rescues was created for DS by the medical game specialists at Legacy Interactive, developer and publisher of more than half a dozen Emergency Room releases for Windows and Macintosh home computers.Product Identifiers
