Additional informationBlatantly inspired by Mario Puzo's THE GODFATHER and its successful film versions, the 1977 film CORLEONE is, unusually, an Italian reinvention of American perceptions of Italian culture. Following that hall-of-mirrors approach, Ennio Morricone's score sounds puckishly influenced by his countryman Nino Rota's work for Francis Ford Coppolla, which itself bore a strong resemblance to Morricone's epic Italian scores of the 1960s. A strangely fascinating creation, this remastered edition includes several previously unreleased bonus tracks.
