NotesDeluxe limited 180 gram green vinyl LP pressing in gatefold sleeve. Includes four bonus tracks "Sweet Little Angel," "Throw Down a Line," "All Shook Up (early version)" and "Jailhouse Rock (early version)". Jeff Beck, as visionary a guitarist as Jimi Hendrix in his own way, made his name as the second of three Hall of Fame guitar players for the equally legendary Yardbirds (following Eric Clapton and preceding Jimmy Page). He became well known for his blistering leads and the wild chances he took as one of the first axe-men to widely employ feedback during a solo. Beck hit the ground running when he left the Yardbirds in 1967 and cut a pair of solo albums that didn't miss a beat from the greatness of his previous work. A year after Truth, Beck returned with the even thicker sounding Beck-Ola. The original personnel of the Jeff Beck Group was only enhanced by the terrific keyboard work of storied session man supreme, Nicky Hopkins and drummer Tony Newman. Like it's predecessor, Beck-Ola is a powerful offering from one of music's most innovative.
