Seller Notes: “This is an early and rare silver Xenon made in 1952. It is a beautifully constructed lens and heavy ... “This is an early and rare silver Xenon made in 1952. It is a beautifully constructed lens and heavy for its size (not made from aluminum). There is minor wear on the exterior from normal use. Glass is pretty clean, looks like just some minor cleaning marks and a small amount of haze near the edge of the front element. There is some internal dust. The focus ring is smooth and works well. The only significant issue with this lens is that there is some play (left/right) between the entire optical block and the outer casing. The aperture blades only work reliably when the optical block is positioned on one side of its movement. It works ok as-is, but for best mechanical operation this lens should be disassembled and adjusted. The last photo (unedited) is one I just took with this lens.”
