It came shipped in a cardboard box, but inside he was wrapped in a plastic grocery bag. He was safe, it was just a hilarious thing to do to a turtle plush specifically. It wasn't mentioned in the listing, but the bottom belly seam has signs of being opened/re-stitched, though it was hardly noticeable and I nearly missed it. Whoever did the refurbishing did an amazing job. I'm a plush cuddler though and not a re-seller/display person, so I'm not upset about it. Firm, cute, smells okay, 10/10.
