Seller Notes: “The very rare 83mm Milled Aluminium cap, sought after by collectors the world over, sold with a ... “The very rare 83mm Milled Aluminium cap, sought after by collectors the world over, sold with a very small number of canon lenses in the late 1960s and 70s, most of which have lost theirs over the past 40+ years, offered here in mint condition. Machined from a single piece of aluminium, this lovely thing is apparently hand made, a true photographic oddity, but one which harks back to a time when Canon was as much a philosophy as much as a brand. As you would expect, there are a couple of very light marks to the deep black finish, but they are restricted to the milled outer edge. The cap is in far better condition than it should be after 40+ years in the wild. Definitely one to grab while you can, whether you as yet have a lens to use it with or not.”
