After adding my own "Alien Tape" i does now hold my phone securely. I also replaced the actual part that holds the phone because on my phone with side buttons the closure would depress the buttons. So i swapped it with a mag safe head unit that thankfully accepted the same diameter mounting ball connection. Also slow shipping.
