Over time, Jetfire would come to realize that his old ally had changed for the worse, and his loyalties were with a group that he, as a robot of science, could not bring himself to help any longer. It was then that Jetfire made up his mind to defect from his robot masters and stand by Optimus Prime, Ultra Magnus, Thundercracker, and countless other brave Robots in Disguise to preserve the fascinating world he had come to study so long ago.
