I'm sorry to hear that you felt that this order warranted negative feedback. This is the first negative that we have received on the 'quality' of the leather footstools. I can assure you that these are not poor quality, however they are genuine leather so minor variation is to be expected. As you mention, you have returned and have since received a refund in full. Apologies that this footstool did not live up to your expectations but we feel that questioning the quality is unjustified. Rustique
