This car's couplings are not compatible with modern couplings. My misunderstanding about this is both my fault and that of the seller. The seller should have pointed out that the couplings are incompatible with most people's train sets, and I should have noticed the wrong couplings in the pictures. The car's quality is low, and it has cheap-looking plastic that looks worse in reality than the pictures indicate. I will buy a couple of brass propellers and a flat car and make my own.
