The plastic end is very fragile and breaks off. This is the second cable I have purchased in the last 2 years. I have made an auxiliary clamping bracket and attached it to the operating lever. This should stop the premature failure of the plastic end. This probably should be looked at as a aftermarket fix for this problem.
