This stone, even wet and shined-up, would not achieve the color of green that is in its photo, but there IS a very dark blackish green there. The gritty white substance on its underside, two sides and in a fissure that runs across its top rear, does not seem to be a natural matrix to me, although maybe it is. It does have a nice, rusty side-streak and arrived very rapidly.

Not all jasper is poppy jasper...the stone is orange red ,but shows no poppy formations..it's not the first time someone has misnamed a stone.
